My special guest this week is a contemporary of Martin Luther King. John Perkins was born in Mississippi in 1930. He grew up in grinding poverty and when his brother was shot, he vowed never to return to his home state. But he did, and his story is one of courage and tenacity in the face of racial hostility.
And The World According to the Simpsons! 400 episodes and a feature film later, we’ll discover what the most watched family on TV have to say on the big issues of life.

listening to your interview with john perkins last week, only took me back to a time that had forgotten existed. I grew up in the then apartheid south africa, and as a young boy allways excperienced racism.my hatred grew with every passing year towards the white man,and i could never understand interracial relationships.i use to always turn to the wrong people for advice on how to handle my feelings and never realised that i could turn to God for advice.john made so much sense to me and i'm sure to a lot of other people aswell.allthough my excperience does not even measure up to his,i can truly say it takes a real Godly person to turn his enemies into his best friends and also to learn from them.I think we can all learn something from this gifted person and some how, some way make this world a better place to live in.
ps love the show
keep up the good work
