Open Up - Long Wait, Great Reward

You know the saying “good things come to those who wait?” Well, I want to hear about a time in your life when you’ve had to wait for something but where your patience was met with a great reward.

  • Maybe your wait had something to do with someone you love/loved.
  • Maybe you waited a long time for a particular job opportunity or promotion
  • Maybe you waited and prayed for years for someone to become a Christian
  • Maybe you met up with an old friend after many years apart
  • Maybe you waited for many years to be reunited with a family member
  • Maybe you’ve always wanted to visit a particular place in the world…and one day you actually got there

In the end, why was the wait so worthwhile?

Hi all,
About 7 or 8 years ago my family became very good friends with another family. We had so much in common and we all enjoyed being together so much that us kids combined our surnames, pretending we were from the one family. They moved about 6 years ago to another country and it was hard on all sides.

We got back into email contact after a year or two and then we have been emailing regularly since. We have all grown up and even call each other sometimes. Well, they are coming back to Australia this Christmas for a visit and I couldn't be more excited! It will be awesome and trust me, I've been waiting a long time!

Well, I'm a student at a boarding scholl, and I have to wait to go home every holidays. My Dad is a Minister and recently got a promotion in our denomination. Because of this I always have to wait for him to finish all his work and when it is done, it is definetly worth the wait. He is such a fun guy and i love him for being who he is, even if he is really busy.
Thanks for listening,
Dave
