The Best of Open House!

Open House is on holidays until February 8, when we return with new guests and fresh features. In the meantime we’re taking the opportunity to take a second listen to some of the most memorable moments of 2008.

December 28

Listen again to best-selling author Anne Rice, NASA astronaut Jeff Williams, Soul Survivor founder Mike Pilavachi and singer-songwriter Nathan Tasker. We’ll also relive the emotions of February’s National Apology.

January 4

Hear the hippy conversion story of psychedelic 60s rocker Barry McGuire, find out what tennis champ Michael Chang is up to these days, take another listen to our chilling chat with Canon Andrew White, the ‘Vicar of Bhagdad’, and discover the locations of the happiest places on earth!

January 11

Take a second author to author Lisa Graham-McMinn on the link between sexuality and spirituality, hear Craig Gross, founder of xxxchurch.com give an insider’s look at the adult entertainment industry and its devastating effects, and hear an in-studio performance from singer-songwriter Geoff Bullock.

January 18

When RT Kendall joined us in 2008 to talk about total forgiveness many were deeply affected. Hear his seven steps again this Sunday. You’ll also catch ethicist Tom Frame on the tricky issue of reproductive technologies, UK journalist Nick Davies on the inside workings of the mass media, and our ‘lounge room chat’ with US singer-songwriter Geoff Moore.

January 25

Third Day’s Mac Powell talks about creativity, spirituality and the inspiration behind their album “Revelation”. You’ll hear from two of the world’s most prominent Christian speakers: Mark Driscoll from Mars Hill Church in Seattle, and author Lee Strobel. And inspirational entrepreneur David Bussau on putting business principles to work for the world’s poor.

February 1

Tune in for another listen to the amazing story of Steve Saint. His missionary father was killed by Auca Indians in Ecuador. Today Steve is best friends with his father’s killer. It’s a tremendous story of radical forgiveness. Plus Shelley Gare on why contemporary culture is ‘dumbing down’, and author Dallas Willard on getting our hearts spiritually renovated.

Enjoy the Best of Open House this summer, and we’ll catch you February 8, 2009 for the brand new show!
