Open Up - Your Bushfire Experiences

If you’re in an affected region of Victoria or New South Wales and are in safety, please let us know what you’re seeing and experiencing.

Have you faced a great loss due to bushfire, recently or in years gone by?

How did you recover from a loss like this?

Maybe you experienced the Ash Wednesday fires nearly 26 years ago (Feb 16, 1983). Or the Canberra fires of 2003 (70% of the pastures, forests and parks were damaged there alone).

How did you get through? How long did it take you to get back on your feet?

What sort of "help" really helped?
