Fight Clubs and Youth Violence

I’d like to hear from you about this issue of youth violence that we're hearing about this week, after the death of Sydney boy Stephen Luu at an organised "fight club".

• As a child or a teenager, did you feel pressure to get involved in fights and violence?

• If so, in what ways were you pressured?

• Did you get involved and how did this make you feel? Did it help you to feel tough, and feel accepted and heroic? Or did it cause damage?

• Do you or someone you know have children who have experienced or been involved in internet-based violence – cyber bullying?

• Have you heard of a fight club operating in your area?

• What consequences of violence among young people are you seeing or experiencing?
