Open Up - Healing the "Father Wound"

This week we interviewed author and counsellor H.Norman Wright on the topic of "The Father Wound". We heard about the different kinds of damage done to a woman's heart, by the mistakes or the absence of their father.

I’d like to hear from you about this topic - particularly if you’ve made the journey from wounded heart, to wholeness.

• If you’ve experience an emotional wound due to your father – perhaps from his neglect, his absence, or even abuse – and have been able to forgive and find healing for your heart, give us a call and tell us your story.

• What helped you to recognize that you had a problem in your heart that needed fixing?

• Did childhood memories follow you into your adult years and influence your behaviour?

• What did you do about it – what was the process that brought you to healing?

• Did you have counseling, or perhaps found healing through talking through issues with friends, or prayer?

• Also, I’d love to hear if you’ve been able to come to some kind of restoration in your relationship with your father….Did you take steps to improve things with your father? What has the response been like?
