Open Up - When You Questioned God's Goodness

If anyone could be forgiven for questioning God’s goodness, it’s Kent Whittaker…  This week we heard how his eldest son orchestrated the murders of his wife and youngest boy… (He wrote his story in the book Murder By Family. If you missed our interview, click on "Listen Again" to find the podcast). We also heard how Kent, lying in his hospital bed with gunshot wounds after the murders, was faced with the question of whether to continue trusting in God. As it turned out, he chose then and there to believe God was good, and that He could this nightmare around for good…  But it was no easy decision.

Now I’d like to hear your stories.

• Have you had a time when you questioned God’s goodness?

• A time when you faced great loss, perhaps the loss of a loved one… or a relationship that didn’t turn out how you expected…

• Or perhaps something like a business venture falling apart, or a dream turning out wrong…

• How did you feel about God… What did you say to Him? Did it draw you nearer or drive you away from prayer?

• What conclusion did you come to, and in the long term, what did you learn about God’s nature?

• Perhaps you’re going through a tough time right now and you’re still not sure what God’s up to?

Tell us your story.
