Worship on the internet, Church on your iphone, small groups on Facebook, even a Virtual Reality church in the game Secondlife. These are the innovations of Oklahoma's LifeChurch.TV. This week we spoke to Bobby Gruenwald, who oversees the church's high-tech forms of outreach.
Let's open up a discussion about these high-tech initiatives.
• Have you used or taken part in some of these high tech forms of worship and outreach that Bobby Gruenewald was talking about?
• Perhaps you've connected with one of the LifeChurch.TV services online, or even the SecondLife church...
• What did you think? Did you feel connected and a part of a wider group of people? Or did you feel you were still alone in your kitchen or bedroom just looking at a computer screen?
• What level of connection do you feel you have had with God through these forms of church?
• Maybe you are involved in another church that has an online service or a Facebook small group of some kind. Do you know someone who has started a spiritual search, or even started a relationship with God, as a result of these kind of online initiatives?
• What do you think about Virtual Church and hi-tech forms of worship?
• Have you connected with other people on the online Bible "YouVersion.com"... Was it helpful to talk with others about the Bible online?

I have been involved in media ministry for years now and I love using the internet and networking sites to help get Gods name out there, and I think that what both people have said here so far is so true I believe Facebook and other internet social networking site help to disciple and get people and God out of the boxes people put Him in.I also love jumping on Facebook after our Youth Services and Services on Sundays and reading all the amazing things God has done it encourages not just me as a christian but I believe it is an amazing way to Spread the Word and amazing power of God so keep using them in this way and keep on spreading His word in anyway possible.

I rang last night on Open House after the interview and I mentioned the Facebook Group I started which encourages its members to mention Jesus and God in their Facebook World. If you are interested in joining the group, you can search for my group, "Sharing Jesus on Facebook" in the Facebook search box. Click on it and click join.
Thanks
JP

I see the net as neutral ground. It is how we use it that makes it good or evil. I personally have found it helpful to connect with younger people who are not so good at relating face to face. Chatting on line seems to help the thought life of people come out. With one particular girl I have been discipling we started talks on deeper issues on face-book and that seemed to make it easier to continue the talk in person. The web really challenges us to break God out of whatever boxes we may have him in.
