While it hasn't had a lot of press in Australia, you may have caught news of a horrifying massacre that recently took place in the town of Jos, Nigeria. Hundreds of people, mostly Christians, were killed in a violent attack in the early hours of March 7. The victims were mostly women and children, and were attacked in three different villagesby Islamic militants wielding guns, machetes and knives. It's the second massacre this year, and one of many over the years.
Reverend Benjamin Kwashi is the Anglican Archbishop of the Province of Jos. He has lost members of his churches in the violence and joins us tonight to describe what he's seen first-hand. As Rev. Kwashi has said, the attacks continue with no government intervention and no justice done. The people of Jos feel abandoned by the world.
Further details of the attacks can be found on the Anglican Diocese of Jos website (warning: extremely graphic images)
