The Big Digital Detox

Journalist Susan Maushart is a mother to three Digital Natives: That's kids born in the internet age, who've never known a world without the internet or digital entertainment. So, when she announced to her teenagers that she was pulling the plug on all electronic media for six months, you could have cut the air with a knife. And she was pretty scared herself; she was a self-confessed i-Phone addict.
Susan's brave social experiment is chronicled in her new book, "The Winter of Our Disconnect - How three totally wired teenagers (and a mother who slept with her iPhone) pulled the plug on their technology and lived to tell the tale."

She spoke to Open House about her adventures.
